Introduction
The new battle mode aims to spice up the classic battle modes with strategy options upon the input of the dance sequence so that even the relatively new players can win with a clever battle strategy!
Now you are given a chance to attack or disturb your battle opponent(s) after a dance sequence input to stop them from advancing to the top rank while you awe the crowd with continuous perfect hits! It’s pure wicked fun, isn’t it?
How to Win the Tricky Battle
Basically, you dance the Tricky Battle like you do the Individual Synchronized Steps, but you can select a strategy after you have successfully entered a dance sequence made up of 8 direction keys or more. That means you have to think and react very fast – it is definitely a more challenging mode even for the pro but it also gives the trailing players a chance to reverse the situation. It is tremendously challenging and tremendously fun!
How to Start the Tricky Battle
Click on the ‘Battle’ icon in the top right hand corner in any dance halls to bring up the ‘Battle Room’ window. There, you have to click on the ‘Create Room’ button, select ‘Tricky Battle’ and then finally ‘Confirm’ to launch the battle.
Details
4 strategy options are displayed above the beat counter. They are represented by 4 arrow keys as shown below.
‘↑‘[Attack]: It means attacking other players to advance your dance ranking; this strategy does not work for the top 1 player.
‘↓‘ [Combo]: This strategy works best for leading players who want to further advance their dance scores by having continuous perfect hits.
‘←‘ [Disrupt]: You can disrupt the whole dance battle order; it works best for players who want some wicked fun rather than dance scores or the glory of being the champion.
‘→’ [Target]: You attack individual players by pressing the corresponding number keys. You can also switch your attack target any time during the dance battle.
The Winner: The player who gains the most dance scores (with or without the employment of the 4 strategies) will be the winner
